In the second meeting of fall quarter 2014, the Paulo Freire institute gathered in the company of a tenfold of PFI'ers old and new. While sharing a moment in the spirit of Thanksgiving and discussing various seasonal holidays in the world, good advances were also made on the practical planning of the upcoming CAFE conference.
Topic for CAFE 2015: EDUCATION AND IMMIGRATION.
- Immigration from the domestic perspectives, from local perspectives and in relation to global issues.
- Potential thematic strand to be included as one of related sub-themes: education and minority languages.
Conference dates: Friday May 1st and Saturday May 2nd 2015.
Next PFI meeting: Thursday January 8th 2015, 4 pm, MS 8032 (8th floor).
